Is this the FIRST COUPLE of Orlando, Florida? Dave, where's the blonde wig? Ha-ha-ha!!! Crazy in Albany. Joey.

Thanks Joyce and Dave. You both look great. Don't you know you are supposed to look older as age. However, I'm fighting it all the way, not growing old gracefully!!

Natalie, this is Dave. They seem to be as happy as two people can be. I really love Alex as his own person and I love that he is so much a fan of Patricia. He may not be as focused on his professional career excellence as I have been through my life but that may be good too. I was so thrilled to see this article. I had not known about it and Patty showed me the cover when we were in the Barnes & Noble at my office in Baltimore. She then opened it up to their picture and I almost fainted. I bought five copies of the magazine.

Dear Nats, you will notice I am in to the "Headshot of the Day" program for Joyce. Dont think that this is the same as yesterday since you will recall Warhol did several of Marilyn. We are in New Orleans for a few days so you will see a lot of pictures of Joyce with New Orleans scenes in the background. The devastation here is beyond belief. What the press doesn't cover is the wealthy areas that are devastated. At the marina there are still maybe 75 destroyed boats in the water sunken, stacked up against the seawallls, 10,000 pound boats thrown up on the docks exactly where Katrina left them, all of this surrounded by what used to 100 cool houses on Lake Ponchatrain-all of them destroyed and no working underway at any of them. The Southern Yacht Club which I took Joyce to 10 years ago burned to the ground and has been replaced by two trailers and some umbrellas. It almost makes me cry. Everywhere you go you see houses unoccuppied with no work going on to rehab them. These people have abandonded their lives here and they aren't coming back. You cannot beleive this is America.

yes Dave..I have seen the aftermath on T.V. must be really sad for you to see it... and to think that joyce even promised to take me there when I go to the US and experienced Mardi gras, emerils, see anne rice home, etc.., and I always had that in mind ...but when this tragedy happened, i know it will never be the same. BTW, are you there for a project?

Nats, I am not here for anything but a good time. Your sister always makes sure that happens. The wonderful things about New Orleans are still here but you can see that the people here are struggling because they have lost their solid base of tourists and locals to keep places churning along. Have you read Anne Rice's new book called Christ the Lord? It is great. She will no longer write anything about vampires, etc; she says she will only write about Christ. Pretty stunning. Did you like the new heashot for your sister?

Ann Rice won't write about Vampires anymore?? What's the deal??

I remeber the series of photos... ( u sent it to me in my email years ago) gino said it was so Andy Warhol. I like this one coz Joyce is smiling. RE wants to know if you can sail your boat all the way here! hahaha..
jtfroe wrote on Aug 31, '06
Several people have sailed our model of boat around the world. One guy sailed around the world on his own. It is a special world record since he is the first solo circumnavigator who is totally deaf. At each port he would email his wife in Texas and she would call people at the port to let them know he was coming and to let them know he was deaf. Anyway, tell Ramon I will be alot grayer before we will sail Mahal to Manila but that is my plan. Anne Rice was born and raised a Roman Catholic and through off her faith for a long time and only recently has re-discoverd it. She wants to devote her life to Christ. Patty, and my Mother have read her vampire stuff but I never did. I have only discovered her now. The book is great. She tells it as if she is Jesus as a young boy; a part of his life that is never covered by the Bible. I gave a copy to our Minister (Priest) and he loved it and used some of her story in his sermon one day. I cannot wait for her next book to come out.
